Children are horribly picky when it comes to food. Even when you know for a fact they like something, they may still stubbornly refuse to eat it, insisting that they have always hated it. This can be frustrating, but it’s easier when you learn this secret: it’s not the food, it’s the presentation.

If you learn little tricks to making food seem more interesting, you can get kids to eat almost anything, even healthy. This is especially true if you get them involved in the cooking process.

What kid doesn’t like pizza? Inastead oft he greasy takeout, get some wheat pita bread or English muffins, spread on some organic, low sodium spaghetti sauce, and top it with a little cheese and veggies. Chop the veggies up to put into the sauce to hide it if needed. Then, add some pepperoni or sausage, and cook in the oven for 10 minutes on 350.

For sandwiches, try buying a set of shaped cookie cutter, and have your kids cut the bread and filling into people, animals, or shapes. Make a fruit smiley face as a side, or offer veggies to put into their favorite dip.

When you get creative in your presentation, your kids will eat whatever you give them. That’s a promise.
